The Community Residential Facility
CRF St-Léonard's House
Located in Montreal's Saint-Henri district, CRF St-Leonard’s House supports the social reintegration of inmates released from federal penitentiaries. Accommodation and services are provided to individuals on day parole, full parole, statutory release, long-term supervision orders (LTSOs), and those eligible for unescorted temporary absences.
Our Approach
Our staff offers a humanistic and individualized approach. All our services are available in both French and English, making this community resource unique.

- 22 private rooms and 6 semi-private rooms

- Service Oxygène: Support and follow-up; satellite apartments.
Exclusion criteria
- Sexual recidivists and and/or sexual predators
- Individuals requiring intensive psychiatric care
- Individuals with an uncontrolled alcohol or drug use problem
- Individuals awaiting deportation
- Individuals who cannot communicate in French or English

L'essentiel Support Group
Our support group is for individuals involved in the justice system who face significant challenges related to social adjustment, experience repeated failures during releases in the community, or a long period of incarceration and who reside at CRF Saint-Leonard’s House.
Description

This support group was established in accordance with the PASSEPORT strategy. Individual follow-up can also be provided if needed. This support helps participants identify the losses they experienced during incarceration so they can find new ways to adapt.
- The program takes the form of a discussion group led by our animators.
- Participants are free to share their life experiences with the group.
- The group is dynamic, and exploratory outings are included in the workshops.
Selection criteria
- Voluntary participation
- Be a resident of CRF St-Leonard’s House
- Status: be on federal parole
- Be 50 years old or more
